We think that despite the condition of healthcare reform, and the desire of our government to cut costs, particularly in healthcare, we think it has never been easier to get proper reimbursement and keep those reimbursements. Never. It doesn’t require good looks, a silver tongue, infallible logic, or even the most sophisticated billing and coding products. It doesn’t require confidence, charisma or a magnetic personality. It doesn’t even require the most encyclopedic knowledge of coding and documenation! It’s a simple matter, really, when one cuts through all the smoke. Cutting through the smoke is the hard part.
In fact, if you are not getting the reimbursements you deserve and need, it likely has nothing to do with you, your organization, or even your coders, billers — not even your physicians. Given the shell game of coding, billing, documentation and all the agencies that monitor you for all that, plus all the marketing-speak and misinformation available from some of the “experts” out there, it’s a wonder any of us is able to actually file any claims, much less actually deliver needed care to patients.
If this barrage of techno-jargon and psycho-babble has left you more confused than empowered, then stop what you’re doing, sit down, take a deep breath, and relax. Because we’re about to take aim at all this confusion, blow away the smoke, and make things as simple as possible. In fact, we intend to give you the tools, education, and a collaboration vehicle — everything you’ll need to figure out exactly what you need to both provide great care and keep enough reimbursements to keep getting better at that.
