OR
What else is qSOFA for, if not Sepsis?
Sponsored by The Health Law Partners, Medlinks, MAS Coding Solutions

Dr. Eddie Hu joins us to discuss his recent conclusions from researching an article on Sepsis definitions, as published on the ACPA blog.
THIS WEEK, Dr. Eddie Hu, a hospitalist since 2002 and a Medical Director of Case Management since 2012 at Rex Hospital, part of the UNC Healthcare System, joins us for the first time, to go over some key conclusions about all the new definitions recently suggested for the diagnosis of Sepsis.
Dr. Hu recently published an article “What is Sepsis?” on the American College of Physician Advisors website, and has consented to come discuss the details of his research for our audience.
We will be discussing:
- Three Definitions that do NOT provide clarification,
- What else could qSOFA and SOFA be for, and
- The key differences between Sepsis 3 definitions and clinical criteria, plus
- Questions that providers have and recommendations for them.
So join us, share your own insights and bring your questions for us!
