The State of the Union for Value-Based Healthcare Initiatives

THIS WEEK, we are taking a look at the status of the Value-Based Healthcare Programs now being pushed by CMS – and other payors.
What with the exit of Secretary Price, the withdrawl of several CMS proposed rules, the failure of 8 months of work by the GOP to repeal and replace Obamacare, the new Executive Orders being signed by POTUS, and the general frustration of healthcare providers and facilities, we thought it might be a good time to stand back and try to look around, despite the fog, earthquakes, hurricanes, forest fires, tweet storms, protests, investigations, allegations, subpeonas, recusals, and the ridiculous price of avocados of late. And we should celebrate having survived another doomsday prediction, by I don’t remember whom, but it was recently, I think. Didn’t think to put it on my calendar.
SO… THIS week, our Panel will be discussing :
- WHERE Secretary Price was taking CMS
- WHERE CMS seems to be going now
- WHAT private payors are doing about Value-Based Care
- WHICH Value-Based Programs are still in play for CMS
- WHAT is the status of those programs still in play
- WHAT is MedPAC now saying about MIPS
So join us, share your own insights and bring your questions for us!
