This week, we have a chance to ask questions like, "Do ALJs wear their robes for hearings?" Or, we could really asking something boring, like, "How can we get the ALJ to be more renegade?"

This week, we have a chance to ask questions like, “Do ALJs wear their robes for hearings?” Or, we could really asking something boring, like, “How can we get the ALJ to be more renegade?”

This week we have finally found a Friday where we could have BOTH our Appeals Experts from The Health Law Partners on the same show with former Administrative Law Judge Bob Soltis! This is tougher than you might imagine, they are all busy, and two time-zones apart. ANYWAY… we have them on this week, to talk about and advise you on how to talk to an ALJ when you have a hearing. While we’re young. Or someday. Eventually, anyway.

The point is, you want to be prepared and not blow it, especially because there are no do-overs.

So listen in, and bring your questions for them!

We’re going to report on some other topics this week, as well. Here’s what we’ll cover:

  • The OPPS Proposed Rule – briefly, but Bill will do a full review, later;
  • The 2 Midnight Ruledid anything really change? We advise you;
  • CMS’ New ICD-10 Transition Plan to Get the AMA Off Their Back,
    as if the AMA Is Relevant, Anymore
    ;

Tune in on Friday, same Bat Channel, same Bat time…

  1. to bicker or quibble over trifles or unimportant matters.
  2. to carry on a petty, shifty, or unethical law business.

– back formation from pettifogger, equivalent to petty + fogger < Middle Low German voger or Middle Dutch voeger one who arranges things; aking to Old English gefög a joining.
