Returned to Our Show:
Common Misconceptions in Admission Decisions
Joining us this week was Dr. Deepak Pahuja, CEO & CMO at Aerolib Healthcare Solutions.
Dr. Pahuja has been on our show before, and returns with new insights for operating under the 2 Midnight Rule – especially concerning the many misconceptions that he sees, working with hospitals and other physicians, when making decisions about admission status.
To illustrate, Dr. Pahuja presented a scenario with several days of events, and then went over the initial and subsequent decisions made by those involved, as well as his assessment of what was right/wrong about those decisions. There was also some lively responses from the audience!
Finally, I asked him to give a brief review of his latest edition of his company’s DVD, Aerolib Physician Advisor`s Guide DVD – a coaching tool for physician advisors, case managers, and anyone else who needs to work with documentation for medical necessity.
Dr. Pahuja graciously granted a 20% Discount off the normal price for his DVD.
You can get the DVD here for just $400 – instead of $495.
